What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy constitutes the most distinguished form of treatment for lipodystrophy or cellulite, which has long been the most frequently requested topic in aesthetic medicine. It was first applied by Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952. In 1987, it was accepted as part of traditional medicine by the French Academy of Medicine.
In France, approximately 15,000 doctors treat more than 60,000 patients daily using the mesotherapy method. The method is successfully applied in 14 countries across Europe, Africa, and South America that are members of the International Mesotherapy Association.
The literal meaning of mesotherapy is middle skin treatment. It is a completely medical procedure based on locally injecting very small amounts of medications using very fine needles of 4-6 mm length into the area to be treated. Various drug mixtures, varying according to indication, are injected under the skin within a period of 5-10 minutes.

Mesotherapy is a traditional medical method whose effectiveness has been proven worldwide. Its application in many countries and daily use by thousands of doctors on their patients is the strongest evidence of it being a beneficial method. An effective dialogue between the patient and physician is necessary to obtain results as soon as possible and in the best way. However, miraculous improvement and immediate results should not always be expected from mesotherapy.
